Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) standards and practices are at the heart of the fight against climate change and to enabling more inclusive societies for all. ESG investments play a central role in transforming global economies into low carbon, circular and sustainable ecosystems. Innovation in the financial sector that addresses new demands for ESG-compliance must be prioritized in Canada. And, Indigenous peoples must be central to Canada’s ESG story, with meaningful opportunities to lead the transition to a net zero future.
